Shadows Dreaming of Another Life

Turn each photo I upload into its own independent, sophisticated design poster. Do not combine multiple photos; output each photo separately. Use an overall 3:4 portrait composition. The upper and lower regions must have a strict 1:1 height ratio, each occupying 50% of the image.

Retain the original photo in the upper half, preserving the subject's identity, structure, pose, realistic texture, natural lighting and shadows, and original color atmosphere. Apply only subtle, refined color grading for an art-photography and independent-publication feel. To fit the frame, you may naturally extend the surrounding background, but must not stretch, distort, or alter the subject.

The upper and lower halves must be strictly 1:1, but must not feel like two disconnected pieces. First observe the shadow cast by the subject in the upper photo (if the original shadow is unclear, reasonably infer it from the light direction). Let this shadow **naturally cross the centerline**, extend onto the warm-white paper of the lower half, and quietly transform there into something else: an animal, a tree, a person, an object, or a form metaphorically related to the subject. The shadow's "other life" must have a clever connection to the subject's shape, direction, and character, feeling surprising yet plausible.

Draw the continuation of the shadow in the lower half with **graphite pencil, charcoal, and a little dry brushing**, maintaining a smooth transition from photographic shadow to hand-drawn linework: closer to the centerline it should resemble a real shadow, and farther down it should become increasingly hand-drawn, ultimately forming a complete, simple image. You may add one or two tiny black line-drawn figures as participants in the event—measuring, chasing, supporting, or looking in surprise at the shadow—to give the scene more drama and humor.

Preserve pencil grain, charcoal smudges, finger-blended gray tones, and paper fibers. Lines should be relaxed and slightly hesitant, like observations casually sketched in a notebook. Avoid smooth vectors, digital-brush effects, and polished illustration.

Use the shadow's long diagonal or vertical extension as the main compositional line, keeping ample negative space elsewhere. The shadow's endpoint (the transformed image) is the sole visual focal point of the lower half and should not be too large.

Use mainly paper white, graphite gray, and charcoal black. Extract one of the strongest colors from the upper photo and use it only in one tiny detail of the shadow's "other life" (an eye, a flower, a lamp), as a small surprise.

Keep text intervention minimal: generate one short, natural, slightly humorous handwritten English aside based on this "shadow event," like a voice-over, placed in the negative space beside the shadow. Do not make it an inspirational quotation.

Overall, create miniature surrealism through **real shadows crossing boundaries, pencil linework transforming meaning, tiny black figures, a touch of color, and abundant negative space**. The core principle: every object has a shadow, and every shadow may secretly have imagined another life. Avoid awkward compositing, edge-to-edge busy imagery, formulaic flights of fancy, cartoon aesthetics, over-explanation, and templated compositions.
